VIA Global Health was excited to once again participate as mentorship partners at the annual Saving Lives @ Birth DevX2018 event. Led by VIA’s Vice President for Market Insights, Brinnon Garret Mandel and CEO Noah Perin, VIA met with and advised numerous innovators on both scaling their innovations along with opportunities to engage through VIA’s accelerating impact partnership with VentureWell and Duke Global Health through the Saving Lives @ Birth program.
It was wonderful seeing numerous friends and global health partners from Hadleigh Health Technologies, Rice University, University of Melbourne, PATH, Jhpiego, Northwestern University, along with innovators such as with several USAID and Grand Challenges Canada supported medical innovators, including the Pumani bCPAP, Bempu Hypothermia Bracelet, Kenek Pulse Oximeter and the Arbutus Drill Cover, expanding their market reach and product awareness into more than a dozen developing countries.
There were also many new faces at DevX2018 including numerous jaundice, mHealth, neonatal breathing and temperature monitors. Congratulations to all the innovators, award winners along with the USAID and Grand Challenges staff for another excellent year.
